Amy Carlin is a member of the New York City Bar Association’s State Courts of Superior Jurisdiction Committee. On June 16, 2017, the New York City Bar published the “Lawyer’s Practical Checklist for Emergency Applications,” which was prepared by the Committee, including Amy. The publication is a series of checklists to guide practitioners in drafting emergency applications for submission to the Supreme Court, New York County and the Appellate Division, First Department. The checklists, which cover a variety of subject matters, including housing, matrimonial law, and general civil cases, are intended to provide an overall summary of applicable law and best practices for emergency applications which, if followed, will assist practitioners in preparing motion papers that will be accepted for filing by the court clerks and approved for review by the court.
